KALLAWAY GIVES PLASTIC THE ELBOW WITH DOUGIE POYNTER BOOK LAUNCH AT KIDZANIA

21 September 2019

Kallaway recently worked with KidZania London to encourage kids across the UK to give plastic the elbow with the launch of a new, innovative book – Plastic Sucks, by pop superstar Dougie Poynter from McFly, published by Macmillan.

Our role was to help drive attendance from children across London. To do this we billed the launch as a ‘recycling masterclass’ launch event and spread the word across the Capital’s media and to parenting influencers.  This included coverage in key titles Culture Whisper, My Baba, Families magazine and The Young Londoner. The London Mother Net featured Plastic Sucks as its 'book of the week', and shared its recommendation to its subscribers.

Dougie came down to try out the masterclass for himself and open the event. Parenting influencers including mum blogger, A Baby On Board, attended the launch and profiled the valuable experience at the attraction.

Meanwhile, kids taking part discovered how we, as humans, impact the environment every day, and how they can take action to make the world a better place. They learned the correct way to recycle plastic, metal and food, and, perhaps most importantly where this rubbish ends up if it’s not recycled.
