The Crown Estate – Banbury Gateway
To launch Banbury Gateway, a 285,000 sq ft shopping park, the challenge was to maintain audience engagement and grow footfall over six months while the park’s 15 retailers opened.
By positioning the park as a one-stop destination for trend-led fashion we created press stories and social media initiatives that harnessed seasonal fashion trends and peak retail times such as Christmas and January – whilst also amplifying the park’s positioning around convenience and choice.
Working with brands such as Primark, M&S and Next we partnered with high- profile influencers and stylists across the region and grew an active community of followers on social media. Our outdoor advertising campaign complemented the earned press and social media activity.
Six months on from its opening, Banbury Gateway had secured double the number of followers on social media than its nearest competitors whilst footfall to the park was over three times higher than the national average for shopping parks.
