Delicious cocktails and brilliant writers on the menu for the Baileys Book Bar
4 June 2018
We’re delighted to have supported Baileys for the second year in a row in delivering the Baileys Book Bar, a five day activation at Waterstones, Gower Street, for its sponsorship of the Women’s Prize for Fiction.
The Baileys Book Bar is the pleasure of reading made better with a Baileys. It celebrates and brings together the best things in life – brilliant female writers, the outstanding books shortlisted for the 2018 Prize and delicious Baileys cocktails and treats.
Writers such as Kate Mosse, Lily Cole, Jenny Colgan, Juno Dawson, Louise Doughty, Dorothy Koomson, June Sarpong and Kit de Waal explored topics ranging from women, power & revolution, Emily Brontë at 200 and Queens of Comedy to sold-out audiences. We particularly enjoyed the razor-sharp Katy Brand at the skills of comedy writing workshop.
The Baileys Treat Collective – a group of inspiring female creators from across the food and drink industry – shared decadent Baileys based delights with guests - the brownies made by the acclaimed artisan baker, Lily Vanilli, were particularly popular! Our favourite was the masterclass from top barista, Celeste Wong, on how to create deliciously indulgent coffee and Baileys cocktails to impress your friends at home.
Our PR campaign secured press coverage across the national and lifestyle media including ES Magazine, Grazia, The Pool and Urbanologie, driving ticket sales to the events and amplifying Baileys association with Women’s Prize for Fiction to millions of readers.
